TASMANIAN SCHOOLS ROWING ASSOCIATION

The TSRA exists to promote rowing amongst Tasmanian secondary school students and to organise and conduct schools regattas.  Participation is healthy, with the following schools boating crews in 2010:

Devonport High School, Don College, The Fahan School, The Friends School, Guilford Young College, The Hutchins School, Kingston High School, The Launceston Church Grammar School, Launceston College, Mount Carmel College, New Norfolk High School, New Town High School, Ogilvie High School, Riverside High School, St Brendan Shaw College, St Mary’s College, St Michael’s Collegiate School, St Patrick’s College, St Virgil’s College, Scotch Oakburn College, and Taroona High School,

All secondary schools which have students rowing, either as members of a school rowing club or as members of a local rowing club, are encouraged to become members of the Association and be represented in matters relating to school rowing.

Regattas conducted by the TSRA include:

  • The Southern Schools Rowing Regatta;
  • The North-West Schools Rowing Regatta;
  • The Tasmanian Schools Rowing Championship Regatta; and
  • In 2011, a Southern Junior Sculling Regatta;

Regatta dates are included in the Rowing Tasmania Season Calendar, and entry forms, draws and results are available on the Regattas page. Where a school has insufficient rowers to enter a crew in its own right, the Guidelines for the Acceptance of Composite Crews should be followed.

  • Vice President – Julian Joscelyne

  • Secretary – Karen Newbon

  • Treasurer - Rod Dolbel

  • RT Delegate – Julian Joscelyne
