Rowing Tasmania will be hosting a 2X Fun Race over 500 metres on Saturday Evening at State Pennant Regatta No 6.

The idea is for crews to arrive on the start line and we'll just send them away as they arrive. Racing will start 15 minutes to 1/2 hour after last event on Saturday calendar.

1. 500m;
2. No entries, lane numbers or pre-set lane allocations;
3. No finish places or times: just the hooter;
4. All in together: men, women and mixed;
5. Allocate lanes as they arrive;
6. 5 min (less if safe) starts; and
7. Encourage lots of cheering, hooting etc.

MAST has written to Rowing Tasmania about the requirements for safety equipment and lighting on coaches' boats and rowing craft. They make mention of the need to make new coaches and boat drivers aware of the requirements and ask that this information be distributed widely through the rowing community.
